hello

Wife. Mama. Photographer. Mentor. Friend. Capturing memories because these snapshots
Freshly showered, I finally PLOPPED in the condo bed in SC, about 1AM last Saturday night.
I like to keep it real with y’all. It had been a long week. I was exhausted and just honestly feeling discouraged from some ridiculous delays of the trip – and the fact that it put me getting in so late!
I just happened to check my email right before dozing off, after that 8-hour drive to South Carolina. I had a wedding the next day, and I don’t usually check my email that late!
Nicole had messaged me earlier in the day from Chad’s 300-acre family farm:
“We’ll be in town for a few days! Is there ANY way we can shoot Engagement Pictures?! They HAVE to be on this farm here in Madison!!”
Yes, love.
There is always a way!
They were in town from their home in Naples, Florida. I met Nicole & Chad just moments before their session on Wednesday evening. It’s about 45 minutes from home, and I was a little bit nervous to meet them! She sounded SO sweet on the phone – but we were about to jump into a super intimate, intense engagement session (squeezed up on a buggy, etc. Haha!)
The long dirt drive under gorgeous oak trees, the squirrels and horses and animals I saw on the way (and a deer on the way out!) made me immediately feel at home and fall in love with this family farm! It’s been in the family for generations, and Chad has spent countless summers here.
I drove past a field of blueberry bushes and sky-high pines, and pulled into the yard, where Nicole walked out with the sweetest Southern, smiling welcome!
After the session, Nicole offered me an ice cold glass of sweet tea, and we chatted around the kitchen table about their wedding day, venue & all the details! We talked about the fields, 18 baby cows and #allthefarm things before I loaded up and headed home! It was truly a blessed session!
If you’re interested in booking a portrait session with Rebecca or Kate, please submit this form over on the Contact tab! We’d love to chat with you!
Loved having you here!! Thanks for stopping by!
till next time,
Becca
