Wife. Mama. Photographer. Mentor. Friend. Capturing memories because these snapshots
Today is Wednesday, March 25th. It’s our 11th day in quarantine because of COVID-19. We are amidst a global pandemic, and this has never happened in my lifetime (much less my career). Those of us in hotspots are trying to figure out life with all of these new adjustments, and I’ve had some things on my heart to share, and I hope these things help you get through this time if you’re also experiencing new circumstances.
We will be tackling
– Physical Health & Immunity
– Mental Health & Stress Management
– How to Support Small Businesses during a Pandemic
– Working at Home during a Pandemic
– Dealing with Information Overload during a Pandemic
– Sustaining a Small Business during a Pandemic
– Making the Most of Our Time at Home
– Working + Homeschooling School Aged children
– Working & Staying Home with Toddlers
– Encouraging Bible verses for this time
This season is filled with unknowns, fear, inconsistency and if you ask me, I think we could all use some encouragement. For our hearts, our minds, and our souls. So, I want to share some encouraging and PRACTICAL ways to help you navigate this unprecedented time in our world… whether you’re a small business owner (at home or with a brick & mortar), a mom, or really ANYONE – because we’re all trying to navigate this craziness together.
Our schools are currently closed. We don’t know for how long, and that means I’m now a homeschooling mom. With a photography studio. And a team. With brides being forced to move their wedding days. Clients that can no longer shoot their sessions right now, and not booking (understandably because we’re in the middle of a pandemic).
I have friends with little ones who are now home full time, and they’re adjusting to life with toddlers. I’m adjusting to life with a 6 & 8 year old at home all the time. Restaurants are take-out only. My studio neighbors downtown are finding temporary, alternate ways to do business. I’m squeezing in work sessions here and there in my home office during the day when I can – between crafting and baking sessions with the kiddos to keep them entertained. We’re not leaving the house much, if at all. We’re mostly separated from the world, which I vastly underestimated the ease of (especially as an extrovert, haha!). I’m working diligently and faithfully, and praying that the Lord provides enough business to cover my overhead for the next 2-3 months, as we all experience this heavy economic downturn.
Let me know if there is anything you want to hear about!
See you next time!
xoxo
Becca
